A demo game is booked up for Gencon this year. I think they should have a couple of boards for players to try the game. I don't think I will be in attendance however I am sure some additional support will be appreciated.
If you are going let me know and I will drop a note to the organiser about the game. I might be able to convince him to sign up here and start sharing the news of the event.

Great news! I'll be at GenCon as usual and am happy to have a Gruntz event to check out.

Hey everyone,
The events are up. Here are the two listings for the Gruntz Events:https://registration.gencon.com/events/search?fri=true&game_system=Gruntz&sat=true&sun=true&thur=true&wed=true
Basically, just going to run some 'introductory' games of a reasonable amount of points split amongst 3 players per side. Teach folks the rules, kill some aliens, blow up some tech, you get the idea.
Now then, clearly they're at 8:00 AM, which sucks. I set it up this way as I wasn't sure what other events would be going on that I'd want to participate in. Now that I can get a feel for what else is going on, I'll see if I can find a better window and possibly move them. Although really, 8:00 am isn't that bad; it's a convention, so people are up at crazy hours, and it's a demo, so I may just leave it.
In any case, I would be glad to fill up spare time with some 15mm throw-downs on the margins of the con in a free-play environment...

Good to know, but 8am will be too early for me. I don't have a hotel room, I live about 20 minutes away from GenCon, but I won't show up till 10 or so each day (to avoid morning rush hour commutes).

I'm in the same boat. About 10-15 from downtown. I'll see what days they are but i might be up for something on the side.

That does sound a little fresh and early in the morning. Most of my UK conventions kick off at around 10, so we are normally playing games by 10:30 (when the crowd has settled in and got around to the table).
Would really like to make it over! Maybe next year. I will organise some posters and cards, tokens and templates etc for the games. I might even have some copies of the rules as additional player take-aways (should they make the effort to join in and have a game). I will see how the printing works out for me as I work through the 1.1 release.

Ugh. Gentlemen, unfortunately, it's looking like I will not be able to attend this year, for a variety of reasons. I'm going to take down the events on the site :/ If anything changes, I'll for sure run demos on site, but as of now, these are off.
Apologies, Maurice

That is a shame . Is there anyone else willing to step in and use the booked slot/space?

UPDATE:
After a further review, it looks like I will in fact be there. I apologize for any confusion; there were a variety of concerns (some newborn child-related, some work-related) that might've kept me, but that's all squared now. Anyways, the events are full, despite the early hour, so that's excellent!
If you wanted to get into the events but weren't able to, I'd be happy to play some off-hour games (since I'll have the terrain handy), whether small-scale demos or full-on Gruntz games!
Feel free to pm me and let me know if you have any questions/concerns.
Thanks! Mkcontra

Hi all.
I just wanted to pop in real quick - I'll be helping Maurice run the Gruntz events (and after-hours gaming) at Gencon. I wanted to let you know we've been in touch with various popular 15mm manufacturers and hope to have promotional items on hand from them at the convention (in whatever form those items take).
I can't wait for the con!

I may not be able to sign up for actual Gruntz events, but I will be present to see it in person.
