Jeff,
We are also planning to be around for some after-hours gaming (after the deal hall closes). You should bring a Gruntz force and we can throw some games together in the evening!

That is exactly what I had in mind and was hoping would happen.
I paint so slow though, and have actual very little Gruntz minis to work with. But maybe I'll get on it and get what I have done, at least.

Hey, I'll be heading to Gencon this year (first year ever) I'd like to try and play a few games, we have yet to actually get to playing yet, so it'd be great if someone could help me through the rules. I can bring one of my forces (small as they may be), but want to keep in check how much crap I am bringing so I wont be bringing anything that doesn't have a specific purpose.

Glenn,
We don't know where the after-hours gaming will be yet, but if you stop by one of the demo games, I'm sure we can set something up for later. I'll also try and post here where we'll be.

I'm planning to bring some 12"x12" tiles which, when combined with some GZG Shacks, make for a decent table for a quick 1 or 2 squad 'demo' game.

Just got our first wave of manufacturer support in for the Gencon events. Rebel Miniatures has graciously provided prizes and give-aways for the participants in the Gruntz games at Gencon!

I should note we are also expecting product support from Critical Mass Games. They have been wonderfully supportive. We have flyers right now, and hope to have product for the participants. This package is currently in-transit and subject to the vagaries of US Customs and international shipping.
We will make arrangements to get product out to the participants after Gencon if the package hasn't arrived in time to distribute at the convention.

So since I have no idea of any who any of you are, someone mind shooting me a PM with a cell number and we cn get together tomorrow for a game or two. Preferably someone who knows how to play and will teach me. I do have my Invid force, but a more standard force could be good if you have it.

I couldn't find anyone playing Gruntz. Admittedly, I didn't wander as much as I usually do, but I did check the entire miniatures hall after hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. There were no events listed in the schedule either (I think that was already covered earlier in this thread though). My GF and I tried to set up a small Gruntz thing Friday night just to learn a bit of the basic rules, but my idiotic cousin (runs a gamestore, which is scary) kept interrupting/interfering with his ignorant quips about "oh, this game actually uses rules from this game" "what, they move that slow at that scale on that size of a board" crap. So when we had to switch tables I just left my stuff packed up and we played something else.
I did find a large stack of fliers that same Friday night in the miniatures hall left alone to rot and die. They were advertising Critical Mass Games in conjuction with Gruntz. Instead of letting them get pitched into the trash, I gave them a home. I have no use for them, except maybe to pass out someday to others someday. If anyone wants them, maybe I can ship them to that person.

Yeah, I should have grabbed some phone numbers before hand. I was hoping to meet up with someone but didn't manage to, and I missed the Gruntz events do to sleep deprivation. Then I got roped into helping Soda Pop Miniatures demo the crap out of Super Dungeon Explore for a decent chunk of my time (which was fun, don't get me wrong), but sad I missed out on some gruntz. If anyone lives in NW PA please let me know, I'd like to gt to play!
