I'm also looking forward to the next version! Will the web based unit builder be soon after?

I hope so, I have decided to pay for the development to get something solid complete. However the developer is currently busy - so I am waiting for a slot.

Have you thought of a kickstarter or maybe paypal donation drive to help cover costs of the Unit Builder software?
I know I saw several people mention helping on the Yahoo group, but if you have shopped it out I know that some fans of the game system would willingly help out on production costs.

I was just starting that conversation today with the developer. Perhaps a pledge $3 for a copy of the builder, if we hit a target $ level we develop it. He was thinking the idea sounded OK. It might happen.

Great! I'd be in for a pledge on kickstarter or something! I would as well as long as it spits out cool looking datacards like yours.

I'd pay for that! and I agree with papabees... being able to easily make rules-compliant units and neat cards I could then print out would be awesome!

Not sure when it will be ready or how many changes will be needed to upgrade it to V1.1 but I'm about 50% of the way through writing a Gruntz unit builder that will let you design units and print cards.
It's written in Java so should run on any platform. In reality it is probably a couple of months away from being finished yet as work and family commitments limit my time, but it will be available asap.
If I have the time the plan is to allow it to handle multiple card designs and formats but maybe that will be in an update.

I read somewhere that there will be new assault rules in v1.1 Any chance to hear the difference between new and old assault rules?
