So guys lets get this moving as I want to start building and painting  1/ The contest will run from now to the end of January 2012 2/ All entries must be posted on the forum no later than Midnight (GMT) on Tuesday 31/01/2012 3/ All entries will be judged by Robin and he has last word on the contest 4/ All entries should be painted for the contest so before and after picture would be good 5/ The First part of the entry will be one squad this could be: A Gruntz squad with or without attachments A unit of Specialists (for example: speeder bikers, mech's or remotes etc) 3 minimum 6/ And second part of the entry will be a vehicle this could be: A Tank A Mecha A GSV Transport A ASV Flyer An Artillery Vehicle 6/ And the last part of the entry will be a commander to complete your small force? Please post entries below |

Those seem like faire comments. I will have 3 places in the contest and prizes for each place - details of which will be revealed soon.

Ooh, this sounds like fun! Contests like this are always good to get things painted. I'm still recovering from this year's Lead Painters League. Haha!
I'll definitely try to squeeze something in.

It would make a lot of sense to have three threads going:
1) CONTEST - GruntZ entries
2) CONTEST - Vehicle entries
3) CONTEST - Commander entries
That way like can be with like and everyone can easily find what they are looking for to comment.

My order of Red Faction Infantry (platoon set) arrived this morning.
Only 17 days from ordering. Superb service (I live in the UK).
Fantastic mini's (as to be expected), superb detail, a great range of poses and some serious support weaponry.
Can't wait until the end of the week when I start my Christmas leave and break out the paints.

Well not finished but as normal changed my mind on what I'm going to do so here is a sneak peak! The Imperator is the original metal one and the three suits plus commander are all from Black Cat bases.  The Imperator is in bits as below as not decided what pose yet!  Also the small specialist mech unit if I'm going to cut them up to reposition them a bit or not. I have added shoulder weapons to the Commander but still unsure what else to add yet! What do you guys think? |

End of January is a great deadline. By then I should have 1.1 out so I can add a print on deman copy of the rules to the prize list.

CMG have mentioned an Imperator for the winner. I will certainly have a few sets of condition tokens for runners up. Hope everyone is on target with painting. I might get myself organised with my Protolene (not to enter of course).

Highlighting in prgress.... still a long way to go though.
Haven't started thew vehicle yet.
