For a Gruntz Squad to dismount a vehicle, they must activate and expend a single action.
For a Gruntz Squad to Assault, they must activate and expend two actions.
It's not a large stretch of the imagination to think that there could be alien races that specialise in close combat but also use vehicles to quickly carry them forward to the battle lines of their enemies so they can Assault them in close combat.
For military's that use projectile weapons as their main combat tool, it's easy for a Gruntz Squad to dismount from a vehicle and then take a shoot action within the same activation.
For military's that use close assault weapons as their main combat tool, they are not easily able to dismount and get a close combat attack in within the same activation, which could leave them with their dicks swinging in the wind...
So what are some ways around this. Should a charge be able to be combined with dismounting from a vehicle?...a squad of crazed fanatics sprinting from the opened front of a armoured vehicle that just delivered them right into the midst of their enemies...
Could the commanders push move be used to dismount the close combat unit before it then activates with the ability to then use two actions for an assault?
The new Swarm perk would be good for this too.

I think our group would consider the Push as a viable way to get around this. It requires that your Commander is close by (vulnerable) and it can only be one unit per turn that attempts this.
But that hardly describes a force designed around this approach.
Would such an army be more like tank-riders? Use more exposed vehicles, or rely more on forcefields (ie, Garn) so that their close-combatants can get to the meat faster?

I think the new Swarm perk helps an assault focused army by allowing an assault with 1 action. So 1 action to disembark and 1 action to assault. I had in mind the starcraft type biological flyers that can transport aliens and drop them straight into a battle.
