Lots of photos and some notes from the SELWG show this weekend. I took the 3x3 board and had show visitors play out the small battles. I was very lucky to be able to give away prizes from Jon at GZG. The winner of the day got a very big starter army pack. www.gruntz.biz/2012/10/selwg-2012-purchases.html

Sounds like it was a successful day. Thanks for sharing those pics. When I was looking at getting into Gruntz, I really enjoyed looking at the vehicles and Imperator Mech that you had painted in the white/light grey, a very captivating colour scheme and I will probably copy it for some of my future forces. It was good to see them feature again in these pics...even though they got smoked more than once or twice by the looks of it

They took a pounding. They are built as light APC's, so one transport slot and they only really take two solid hits from a large or medium weapon. They can survive longer if the player uses the terrain, in the last game both of the hi-mobility light APC's got through to the last round. The last EHTC player really used the mobility of the APC's to get his troops around the board and re-embarked them for a fast drive to the flank of a Protolene player. It was great to see people making good use of the vehicles.

Yeah, I really like that paint scheme a lot. After my Aliens I had planned to do a Khurasan Felid force which I have sitting in the cupboard awaiting paint. I think I might bump them down the queue and visit the GZG shop and get some of these guys. I think the white is reminding me of UN missions and that's a rich source of both Earth based and frontier planet scenario's. Thanks for the pic. I've saved it for when I start a similar force I can wall paper it and use it as both reference and motivation
