I'm going to be posting here the next project I'm researching on doing So without further adieu...
Battle Fortress LSV Mk.I
Producer: Malak and Sons Fabrications, Inc.
Model: SHV 1000.2-38 Battle Fortress Land Superiority Vehicle.
Dry Weight: 110 Standard Tons (Super Heavy)
Propulsion: Dual Hydrogen Fuel Engines/quad track
Armament: Five MSF Hell-Volly Howitzer Cannons (Linked Fire, 3 on the bottom 'stage', 2 on the turret mount), two standardized hard points for support weapons.
Armor: 20cm Reenforced M.Steel, 4cm Reactive Poly-Ceramic blast plate, 4cm imbed heat treated reflective plate.
Crew: Commander, Driver, Navigator, Gunner, Mechanic, 5 Re-loaders.
What I'm going to use:
- 2 German 1/72 Scale Cruiser Tank Crusader Mk. III
- Plastic card
- Brown Stuff
- Glue
- My "Swear Jar"
The idea is going to be to take the 2 kits, and basically merge them into one, large, kit. I am going to hand make possibly 3 to 5 of the main guns by hand. as well as expanding a section or two of the hull.
Summery of concepts:
5 guns but only four allowed?
To compensate, I added the "Advanced AI Targeting" the effect would be about the same in the long run. More rounds, better chance to hit.
Uber-Armor?! SERIOUSLY?!
Yes.
Just how much damage is that in a round?
A Lot.
What's the point of the tank?
I wanted to create something gratuitously expensive as both a center piece and maybe something I can mold and sell in the long run. I'm going to be doing some extensive modifications to the hull, and really only use the body as a frame in which to build on. The image above is only a very rough idea I whipped up in Photoshop to keep an idea of what I'm going to do.
What are you going to try with this thing?
Lots of stuff. The first things I'm going to experiment with are it being a straight up killing machine, or should it also be able to transport 2 squads?
So about how big is it going to be on the table?
5.5"-6" long.
When can I see it?
I'm between jobs right now, so that pending, and give it a few weeks.
