I really like the merka stats. A nice solid gun and then some anti-infantry capability. A nice solid modern MBT approach to tank design.

Here is my card for my "Alpha Team". I'll have two of them on VTOLs... they are the tank hunters, the special forces guys. Teams of four with a lot of firepower, highly trained and VTOL equipped...

Those guys are there to handle anything. Finish off a damaged vehicle, kill other soldiers. Grab an objective.

You've got a very good force composition for your Clear Horizon force. Whats their standard TO&E by the way.

thanks! my plan is to get an IFV turreted gauntlet from gzg for each squad and a command gauntlet for the colonel. there will be a heavy sniper attachment.

that will be the standard infantry company.

the alpha squad will be a vtol (little bird)per special forces four man squad. I'd like to pick up a larger vtol at some point when one catches my eye.

I'd like to pick up another Meraka and add some doodads to make it a command tank. that would complete my armored support.

I'd love to pick up some NAC trikes for fast recon

what do you think? any suggestions?

I like the idea of the NAC trikes for your fast recon & a 2nd Merka Tank would give your force the fire power it may need. I also like that your going with Hover vehicles instead of Grav vehicles for your APCs & Combat Cars, with Tracked Tank support. How many squads are you planning to put in the company. Don't forget that Gruntz 1.1 has Sub Commanders so you can have one with each Platoon as the platoon leader.

There is something about the build of this model that feels right to me in terms of design.

They might be a nice addition to the Clear Horizon force.
