Ok after my first readthru I had some questions for clarification:
1. The rules say you can pre-measure range but then state that if the attacker doesn't have the range to fire the attack fails. Which is it?
2. Am I correct in thinking Gruntz block line of site for other Gruntz?
3. Can a Commander use a Push action to allow a squad to Disembark a Transport?
4. How do i determine a models rear arc?
That's it for now. I'm really looking forward to my first game and am sure I'll have more questions in the future.

4: GruntZ and other humanoid things have 360 degree line of site, so don't have a rear arc. If you really have to, use the shoulders as the divide. For vehicles etc, use the diagonal cross method to divide the model up into four 90 degree arcs.

1. It is pre measure. Rather than attack fails it should say the attack does not take place. However a weapon that is AOE, could still fire - it will land short and automatically deviate. It is being clarified. 2. Yes they do, unless the other Gruntz are in down condition. 3. Yes and this is clarified in the free 1.1 release coming soon. 4. I have a new chart in with side and rear arcs in the 1.1 update - Basically an arc from the rear of the vehicle. The picture will help

2. Yes they do, unless the other Gruntz are in down condition. I didn't consider this before and understand it but I'm wondering - does this impact play a lot? Is individual unit placement on the board becoming crucial through this rule if you want to maximize the amount of units in a squad that are capable of firing on a certain individual unit? With vehicles a certain length/width it isn't it almost certain that you will find a Line of Sight in all circumstances. To be honest I wouldn't mind if my opponent would move an individual infantry a bid in order to free up LOS but maybe I'm to flexible here (for vehicle and other hard targets I would be less flexible though)

If you are playing with single based figures, yes you do need to spread the unit out so that they can all shoot. It is very easy to do when moving the figures you just leave a small gap between the front bases to allow the rear models to shoot through, however if you play with group basing it is the full base that is considered to be able to fire.
