So when would this tank ever want to fire it's main gun as opposed to missiles?

So when would this tank ever want to fire it's main gun as opposed to missiles? At close range where the missiles are less effective (although I feel the missiles are a little over powered generally).

Thinking about the missile vs main cannon issue... Make the main cannon a energy weapon. That way it gives you an advantage over those that have anti-projectile MODs.

I've just notice the missile profile has changed.
The Vehicle Medium Missile profile has increased the AP to 2...

From the perspective of the model I would say it had light missiles and coming back to my theory on the model having an "abstract" capacity for damage output I would also restrict it to just one missile statistic.
It is interesting to note that when I started Gruntz I was only going to allow one main weapon and a secondary system. Then I adjusted based on feedback about needing to list every pod on a vehicle and the result is probably too much damage output on one entity on the table. It works if the other players is also packing a set of equivalent builds but it does make one strike kills more frequent which is not a game style I would enjoy i.e He who hits first wins. I prefer a gentler game, but it is a personal preference and I took the decision not to restrict designs.
It might actually just require a higher or incremental addition for the increased weapon mounts to make it more prohibitive to take 3 or 4 main systems. I will have a think.
