I just finished the Mars trilogy by Travis S. Taylor, so now I was wondering do any of you know of a good mecha series apart from the obvious battletech/robotech fluff and well known manga out there?

GW released a comic called "Titan" a while back, worth looking into.

Not a series, but keep an eye out for 'Armored' edited by John Joseph Adams, it's an anthology or short stories about powered armour and smaller mechs.

"Starship Troopers" is worth a read. Very, VERY different from the movie, and is one of the first literary pieces to use infantry with powered armor.

If you have a Kindle, try 'Turing Evolved' by David Kitson. It's free, and has some nice ideas about AIs and mechs.
