It's been a while since I've posted, mostly because I've been working on more modern than SF stuff. However, modern buildings can still be good for science fiction, as squalid apartments have been a fixture since (at least) the Roman Empire. The (newer) buildings are made of either foamcore or Canson illustration board. The latter is now my favourite material with which to make 15mm scale buildings. The reasons are outlined in the usual bumf which accompanies the pictures.

Stunning work. Really nice to have buildings you can place miniatures on. Reminds me of Battlefield 3 the game

I must confess that I actually had a look at the maps for Battlefield when I started the project. I figured if they were good enough for computer gaming, they'd be suitable for miniatures.
I'd love to make a waterfront, but the trick is figuring out how to make it small and flat enough for easy storage.

Nice modular table you have there. Really jealous of all of them. I don't have that many to do a board like that. Yet.

It's 28mm but might give some useful pointers...but having looked at your blog, yours is great as well akulasbattlefield.blogspot.co.uk/

That's a nice setup for the BF2 game. I've bookmarked it for easy reference!
My next plan was to make some more hills, preferably to be able to make a stepped layout.
