I love the kit-bashed turrets, I do the same with my vehicles.
I also really like the finish on the models, your posts prompted me to order 50 odd bottles of model air (WWII Germans, WWII Allies and the large basic set plus a few extras. Pigments, washes and basing stuff for SNG. Merry Christmas.
I'll let you see how it turns out.

Good luck with the Valeho Model Air. I just received about 25 new bottles from Wayland games with some brighter colours for my various Protolene vehicles. Wayland (UK) they have a good rate on and delivery took about a week.
