Hello chaps! As part of my on going endeavours to corrupt young minds, I'm now running GruntZ as part of my school wargames club. Unfortunately, all our terrain is 28mm, so I have struck on the nefarious plan of designing printable terrain using Inkscape and making the kids assemble it! Obviously, I plan to build up a collection of fully modelled 15mm terrain (and place tutorials about it on TFH), but I thought you chaps might like to get your hands on this stuff. It allows you to build up a respectable sized set of buildings very quickly. Most of the buildings come with printable bases, but you can base them on anything you like. I've also included some optional parts for some of them, and I am working on a few others in a sporadic way. You're best bet is to use a high GSM paper; I use Canon 120gsm matt photo paper for my card modelling endeavours. You can find them here

Very nice! well i have not fond of use paper terrain, it tent to be damaged, broken and otherwise destroyed especialy if you working with kids they may be carefull but you know incidents happen. you can relativly easy and cheap build up similiar terrain. it involves dental plaster and plastic casings like this one if you get more of these boxes you can have very high variety. you will use these casings as forms for your plaster and when done you will only use various pieces of addons to make them looklike buildings- you can use balsa or even evil company 40k bitz rhino and vehlice bitz are most usefull. with this you have your colony running in no time cheers

This is a great idea! - If anyone is interested in other printable paper terrain, I recommend checking out the cardboard warriors forum: cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/There is a guy on there called Tommygun who's done a load of sci-fi bits and bobs..interestingly shaped cargo containers - and a very nice modular sci-fi building. Most of the stuff on there is for 28mm (But just print it out at 50% for 15mm scale!) cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tommygunboard

Hi, Tommy Gun's stuff is superb! I have printed up a bunch for my 28mm games. I hate wasting card. Is there a way to print up two of Tg's items on the same sheet of cardstock rather than just one?
Thanks,
John

There's some interesting stuff there - they're not 15mm scale though... might take some messing about with to make them compatable... What scale is Battletech? - 6mm??
