Jaffa cards! (15mm GZG sci fi Egyptians). Because of their armor they have Soak 12 like most of Sci-Fi humans in armor. They can fire plasma blasts (Plasma Rifle) and very good in melee (regular sci-fi/modern humans have 4 for Melee, because they better trained with firearms than with bayonets). But their Shoot stat is a bit lover than stats of regular human soldiers. Why? Remember Stargate SG-1 episode stargate.wikia.com/wiki/The_Warrior where SG-1 team showed superior accuracy of of Earth weapons. I took photo for card from "Chroniques du fort Bastiani" blog chroniquesdufortbastiani.blogspot.com.au/2011/09/15mm-gzg-jaffa.htmlAbstract SG Team. They have standard stats for most of modern regulars (I need to remade my Modern US cards). Bulletproof vest ans Kevlar helmet (I know that guys on photo dont have helmets, but in Stargate SG-1 some teams had helmets) provide Soak 11. Shooting is 5, because of accuracy of Earth weapons (rewatch stargate.wikia.com/wiki/The_Warrior episode), but Assault is only 4, because modern soldiers are better in shooting than on melee. And also modern weapons not as good for melee as Jaffa staffs. I took photo for card from "Mini Metal Mayhem" blog minimetalmayhem.blogspot.com.au/Compare them to Earth Force Marines (typical sci-fi human regular troops)

I would have a higher shoot/skill score for the SG team than the Jaffa, one of the points made throughout the series is that the Jaffa training is more about Terrorising rather than soldiering. As such although the equipment for the Jaffa is better, this is offset by poorer training, maybe a lower Mental score as well

Not sure about shoot 6 for regular SG team, because its abstract SG team, not main heroes from SG-1. But heroes from Stargate SG-1 should have shoot 6, I agree. Maybe, I'll add another card for elite SG team, like "SG-1 Team" or "Elite SG Team"card with Shot6 and higher mental?
As for Jaffa mental skill, I agree with you and I will change it to 6 tomorrow morning by Sydney time.

Hi,
did anyone who is more of a Stargate expert also build/ wants to help me build the SG-1 team for Gruntz? I already played around with the army builder, but I'm very new to Gruntz (got my rules yesterday, read it to page 20 until now) and I'm neither knowing too much of the Stargate universe (watched the series twice, but didn't do any research so far).
I would love to build a Stargate/Gruntz based setting for my wife's birtday in june. She's absolutely into the series and universe and this might be my last chance for interesting her in a Tabletop... If not, she will get an awesome modular Stargate diorama ;-)

I think you captured the feel of the show pretty well. The only thing I would change is to up the mental stat of most of the cards by 1 & the Jaffa by 2 as they believe they are fighting for their gods.
