I want to stat out some sort of drop pod. If this exists somewhere, please point it out to me. Otherwise, here are my proposed stats:
Drop Pod
Cost: 15 points
Size - light
Mobility - Immobile
RAM - 0
Soak - 14
Guard - 0
Skill - 0
Weapons: none
Modz: Light them up
Capacity: 8 models, power armor only (8 power armored models)
Deployment: Any friendly/allied commander, squad leader, or designated "spotter" (as in a sniper team, or an artillery spotter) may call in a drop pod. To do so, the calling model must sacrifice 1 action that turn.
The drop pod may be placed on any clear terrain on the board. This terrain must be either surface level ground, water, or some other structure strong enough to survive an orbital bombardment (no deploying onto a floor of a building). The pod may be safely deployed into difficult or dangerous terrain (meeting other requirements), but the enclosed models will be subject to any penalties or hazards for doing so.
If the calling model has line of site to the location, the model arrives in exactly that place. If the drop pod is deployed outside of line of site of the calling model, it will scatter in a random direction 1d6 inches. This random direction should be agreed upon by both players. Scatter dice is recommended.
Once deployed, the enclosed models will be placed within 2 inches of the center of the drop pod, and may only use one activation (either move, shoot, or assault) that turn. The drop pod itself may not paint a target that turn. The drop pod may be fired at and may paint a target, but in all other ways will operate as terrain.
So...that came out rather verbose. This will be for use with a friend of mine, and I'm sure he's fine with it, but I don't want to cheat him, even in a small way. Thanks for reading, and for any comments!
