For anyone who is interested, I just thought I'd share my take on Space Demons, Greys and Orks in Gruntz Space Demons 12 points Shoot 2 (although just read Robin's clarification that I could actually take Shoot 0 at a cost of 0 points.....) Assault 6 Guard 13 (due to speed) Soak 13 (carapace, plus it 'felt' like they needed a semi decent Soak to help them actually make it in to melee!) Mental 7 Skill 2 Armed with 'claws and teeth' (Energy weapon) Perk: Swarm (was torn between this and Ultimate Agility to help navigate terrain.....) Greys 11 points Shoot 4 Assault 3 Guard 12 Soak 11 (15) Mental 7 Skill 3 Armed with plasma rifle, knife, HE grenades Perk: Force Shields These guys have proven to be surprisingly effective, largely due to the Soak 15 from the Force Shield Orks 10 points Shoot 4 Assault 5 Guard 11 Soak 12 Mental 6 Skill 3 Armed with projectile rifle, axe, AP grenades Perk: Hard Vetz Of course, I've also created plenty of Specialists, etc for all 3 races, but this post is in danger of becoming an essay so I'll stop there! ;D

I like essays you can never have enough stat cards Btw like what you have done as my take on Aliens are very similar

I like the aliens option. I have aliens (space demons) coming with me to Salute and I think I will base the card on your design. Just need to consider the Alien Queen.

I will probably make the queen a Specialist. I am going to have her fight the loader vehicle from Khurasan, so they need a few hit points each to survive incoming damage for a couple of turns.

I statted my Alien Queen as a Commander, thus: Shoot 4 Assault 4 (she's a bit big and blundering the way I imagine it!) Guard 11 (not great at dodging....) Soak 15 (...but lots of thick armour and non-essential body parts that can be blown off!) Mental 8 Skill 2 (big claws are not great for repairing generators....) Damage points: 18 Armed with: acid spit (plasma rifle) and claws / teeth (power claw) Perk: a home-made variant on / interpretation of Neural Net Boosters called 'Hive Mind' - allows all friendly units on the battlefield to use her Mental stat and - currently playtesting - allows use of some / all Commander effects (pushing, removing suppression) on units anywhere on the battlefield. NB: the 'acid spit' came from a decision to have two different types of 'Space Demon' based on the two different styles of head (smooth and ridged) that the Khurasan minis have. Thus, I've used 'smooth heads' as my normal melee troops, whilst the 'ridged heads' have an acid spit attack (laser pistol stats) and slightly reduced Assault. Momma Alien thus had to have an 'acid spit' attack in order to have passed it on to some of her offspring

Great - She is going to be a tough one to bring down. I like the idea of having a small squad try to overwhelm her with the help of a "Loader vehicle".
