www.kremlinminiatures.co.uk/manitou_picpage.htmHow would you stat these in Gruntz? They're pretty large and well armored so I'd say max armor for infantry. They've got a Jump Pack so that handles which unit quirk. Those rifles look like they'd be some kind of plasma weapon. The issue I have is what to do with the missile launchers on the shoulders?

Sorry missed this first time round! Power Armour can't have attachments so you add the cost of each missile launcher to the unit cost! Gaurd I normally put one or two points lower and these would be Soak 15 and perhaps Gaurd 10. Give them veteran stats Ie 5 for shoot, assault and skill. Mental of 8 and give them plasma rifles and the correct amount of missile launchers Hope that helps I can't give you points as in my car about to start work

Within the rules, could I give them a larger plasma instead of a standard rifle to stand in for the fact that the guns on the minis are actually pretty huge?
Seriously, I mean like the size of an infantryman's torso here...

Yes you can have attachment weapons but pay for then on an individual basis and would be quiet expensive

There's a little 2-sentence blurb on page 50 that says you can give Power armor troops Squad Attachment weapons.

Thanks.
Still cheaper than making each suit a specialist!
Though from the look of the shoulder launchers, could you see them as Grenade launchers rather than missile launchers?

I personally would make them missile launchers but no reason they can't be Grenade launchers. The guns I would stick to normal plasma rifle and give each a missile / grenade launchers

This needs clarification, because the Gruntz builder states that a Grunt can have 1 Light and 1 Medium weapon, but the weapons chart does not differeniate between Light or Medium weapons. Also, the rules state that PA Gruntz can use SA weapons.

Alot of the terminology was changed as Gruntz was written by Robin and things did slip through. I'm at work at moment so can't look through the rules but PA units are very different as they can not take attachments but they can take an individual squad attachment weapon each but are paid for individually. As you may guess this can be a bit expensive points wise! I think the light and medium weapons apply to pistols and rifles if I remember correctly from the beta rules. Hope that helps

I can't find any reference to PA squads being built differently in the rulebook.

From page 50 "Power Armour Gruntz use weapons from the Squad Attachment table. If they are fitted with integral rocket launchers they are classed as light missiles." That is the first bit I spotted but there is more just cant find it at the moment

That is the first bit I spotted but there is more just cant find it at the moment There is also page 30: Armour (Soak) Armour is selected on a range of categories and some sample ideas are detailed below. A soak of 14 or 15 is reserved for powered armour squads only. Page 49: SA Missile Launcher - Carried RPG or Micro missiles used in Powered Armour suits.

Yeah, but non of that says they can't have SAs. The PA packs from GZG do have models with SA weapons, and Robin has said that the squad sizes were based on GZG packs. So perhaps these models need to used as specialists, not Grunts.
