HI Can you help me with one Assault situation. Rulebook tells that in Assault situation when 1 Gruntz squad attacking another squad, I need to place my figures in base to base contact with enemy figure and calculate assault attacks and damage for them individualy. I try to illustrate my situation: Picture 1 illustrates pre-assault situation when red squad want to assault blue squad Picture 2: Red squad assaulted blue squad. Red3 attacks Blue2 and here I need to roll only for one model against enemy model? Red1 and Red2 attacked Blue1, so in this fight I need to throw dices for 2 red models and my opponent only for 1 model? Red4 and did not entered assault with any blue model, so Red4 and Blue3 dont fight in this assault? Picture3: Blue1 and Red3 are dead and no figures are in base to base contact. Does that means that assault is over? Or its still continues and on Blue squad turn he must move his models into base to base contact with red squad members??? Please help, I am a bit confused with situation on picture2 (am I right or wrong), and have no idea what to do with situation on Picture3

Well only models in contact can fight. In your example when red activates they charge in and attack the two blue models. This is two on one and one on one. When blue activates if the two already engaged are not waxed then they can fight back also the lone blue can move up to fight but dosent can a change action. Hope this helps

Thanx! Just what I thinked! Love this rule of individual models fighting very much!
Last question. What about situation on Picture 3? Each squad have 1 waxed model and they are not in base to base contact. Does that mean 2 squads are still in assault? Can Blue squad retreat on its activation or not?

Assualt is over, but now Blue is free to either move away or charge back into Red.
