Under the rules for GSV vehicle it says that weapons are selected from the anti infantry weapons. Under vehicles it says weapons ae chosen depending on the class size of the vehicle. This would suggest a medium GSV could select a medium vehicle sized weapon. Which is it for GSV's? There is a similar ambiguity with ASV. Ruling please!

It's anti infantry weapons only at the moment Thanks for the swift reply. I guess this is under review then? Seems to be a little inconsistent as a scout specialist can choose a specialist heavy laser 14/10/-/3 when a much larger medium GSV can only get a vehicle light laser 13/9/-/1. IMHO there would seem to be room for GSV's retaining their transport capacity, with more offensive power, but lacking the staying power of their tank counterparts.

Personally I would consider it acceptable for an opponent to bring GSV and ASV vehicles to the table mounting Squad Attachment or Specialist Weapons.
In both the tank and mech builders it states: Scout and light vehicles/mechs “can select from the anti infantry class vehicle weapons or from Squad Attachment and Specialist weapon classes”
So when the builders for ASV and GSV state “weapons are selected from the anti infantry section of the weapon table” I would take it to include Squad Attachment and Specialist weapons.
However, with the exception of mortars, grenade launchers or flamers, I cannot understand why anyone would mount weapons other than vehicle light on an ASV or GSV purely on the grounds of cost.
Some of the Squad Attachment and Specialist weapons stat out as costing as much as Assault weapons for minimal improvement over Vehicle Light equivalents...

Perhaps mounting anything larger costs Transport space.

The vehicle weapons table clearly shows what is considered an "Anti-infantry" weapon. But I don't see why the light missile weapon, should not be included. I do think that flying units should mount smaller weapons than their ground hugging brethen, just because of the weight, recoil effects, etc. Maybe Scout and Light flyers should be limited to AI, Medium to Light weapons, Heavy to medium, etc.

An idea came to me today that maybe GSV's could have weapons a class or two lower than their size. Thus tanks still have the edge in weaponry but there is more choice for GSV's.

That would work One that I use with tanks is that you can use a size class larger but only fixed front arc. This makes a good tank destroyer type
