Here's my first Gruntz army based on Eureka's SciFi Germans. The APCs are Plastic Soldier Company German halftracks. I left the wheels and tracks off and made "anti-grav pontoons" from some plastic tubing. Here's my giant mech flanked by some specialist mini mechs. If any one knows what any of those figs are, please let me know. The 28mm power armor I have had for years. No idea who made them. The giant mech is from some show in the early aughts, but again, no idea anymore. Minimal converting done to them. And a pic for scale. Here's some pics of the Gruntz. And my commander. There are more pics on my Flickr, including some action shots from my fist game.

Nice looking force you have there.
I don't know who makes your mini-mechs, but I think I have a few of them laying about in a parts pile somewhere also.
They have to go back to the early nineties at least. I know I had mine mid nineties.
Your paintwork is very good for this scale, and the whole force comes across with a nice cohesive feel.

I don't know what it is about the way you have modeled and painted this army as the techniques are (if you will forgive the term) basic. However, and it is a BIG however, these are really well executed and look fantastic! This army has rung my bell in a way that not many have. Seriously, well done! Now where are you?, I want to fight them

I like the colour scheme and conversions you've done on this army, they should look great on the table.

Very nice. Always have the love for sci-fi Germans. Hope mine turn out just as well someday.

Thanks, guys. And, wikkid, no offense taken. This force was all about getting an army on the table. I've been wargaming with 28mm miniatures off and on for better than 20 years and, as much as it pains me to admit, this is my first completed army. I chose simplicity at every turn, but I think it worked out. God, I love 15mm.

Those APC are great, kinda remind me of the old Battlestar Galactica

Great looking force! Very cohesive. Any additions planned? Some grav tanks perhaps?
I think I'll have another look at those minis...

I'm thinking I need some tanks... my buddy has a very tank heavy force. I'm looking at some more Plastic Soldier Company models. Haven't settled on a particular model yet, but I'm leaning toward their StuG. Whatever I get will get the grav treatment.
Thanks for the comments, guys!

Cool, thanks. I also have a few of these: Missing all the arms, though.
