Has any thought been given to having vehicles and mecha soak and guard being chosen independent of the chassis size. I understand the damage being a constant but won't it seem to all look the same after awhile? Just a thought.

The Modz were designed to provide some flexibility in breaking the core stat build. I also did not want an ultra detailed build process, so combining stats into hull classes helped a lot. So I don't think it is something I will be breaking out in terms of design but it might come in a far distant version if the game continues to gain ground.

I can appreciate that. Perhaps a Modz like thin armor similar to uber armor to let you have a larger chassis but lighter armor.

Remember that the vehicle class does not necessarily imply size , you could build a medium size vehicle /specialist and use the assault categorie.....or for a big open top recon vehicle use the scout class to make it frail

I actually really like the way it is done already. It stops you designing a super fast, super armoured, super armed vehicle. Throughout history tanks and AFV's have had to compromise on a least one feature. It probably is not realistic but we are playing space opera battles here.
Certainly room for a light armour mod.
