Again I wonder if there is a little confusion in the rule book over defining the assault ability. I know it is not an exact science but I guess the assault score is made up of three characteristics. Physical prowess, a 7 foot tall alien has some advantage over the average human. Skill and training, the SAS are better at assault than the army. Weaponry, special gear helps. The rules refer to aliens having a high assault value due to claws but then list claws as an optional weapon type. Could a very powerful alien warrant the top assault rating just by high strength? Again could the categories be changed to be more informative? A list of examples like for armour classification would really help.

Sounds like a fair option to express the differences which could also be varied e.g. you might have a super advanced neural / cyber type elite boosted human with high assault and it could also just be a very tough alien that is brilliant at tearing soldiers limb from limb.
