Some work in progress. Making some changes to these GXG Light wheeled tanks and an APC. Added a Plasma variant to the tank by removing the RAC and popped a flamer on the APC as an effective anti-infantry addition.

Are these models in resin? or white metal? They look so dull vs the miniatures.
Also like the looks of the upgraded Stuart tanks in the back.

They are dull because they spent a night in a white vinegar bath being stripped of the release gunk after I cleaned them up. The primer provides amazing coverage after a vinegar bath.

Great tip, had some questions on it though.
Does the vinegar not dissolve the superglue or expoxy used to assemble the models?
After the vinegar bath is there an additional step before applying the primer?
Does this method also work on resin models?

>Vinegar bath before gluing.
>Yes I wash in hot soapy water, rinse, dry and glue together models.
I would not put resin in Vinegar but I do use hot soapy water to clean off any release material and dust from prep work.

Did use the vinegar trick on the drones that I'm curretly finishing and it works great. I felt both the primer and the next layers of paint went on smoothly compared to previous painting adventures.
Thx. for the tips.

Now I am intrigued. Is the bath straight vinegar or is it mixed with water?

Just white vinegar. I keep using it until it looks filthy and then poor a new jar.
