Gruntz rules recommend to use Commander creation table for characters, and I agreed with this, because I want to choose shoot, guard, soak by myself, not like in Specialist creation table.
But what If I want to use some of characters on battle table fighting some gruntz with only 1 wound (like in blockbusters where heroes can kill dozen of enemy soldiers. Remember Rambo). These characters have point value from Commander table, but without Commander perkz and special abilities. Is that ok?

Well if you just want things to mow down, I would create them as a Gruntz unit but then activate each one individually or activate them as a unit but ignore the squad coherency, so you can have them running all over the jungle haunt of the drug baron.. This would make them cheap but certainly only wise for a smaller scale game where you don't have more than about 20 individual character models on the board or it could become tricky.
However if you activate the "minions" as a group out of coherency, you are at least minimising the constant shifting between individual activations.

My idea is: minions - typical Grutz unit with squad coherency rule heroes - individuals with multiple wounds created using commander creation table.
