Hello, Was just trying to create a motorcycle specialist with weapon mount. Do I have to pay for SHOOT and SKILL? It says skill is used for vehicle crew firing vehicle weapons. Is skill used for any other purpose? If I had a motorcycle specialist with a mounted heavy projectile weapon, how does it shoot, using the shoot or skill characteristic? Also am planning on building a force with motorcycles, trikes, and quad 4 wheelers as specialists ,can they only choose weapons from specialist table and gruntz table.? Or could they also choose from squad attachment table? Confused Some of the models I have, the quads in particular have some big weapons I ask because my 4wheeler with hvy projectile and ultimate agility perk( medium) class was coming in at 26 points, wondering if I am wasting points on shoot or skill Thanks Steve

I had thought about this, having played Trikes and Grav Bikes. The theory behind the rules of using Skill rather than Shoot is that you switch to using Skill whilst mounted because it is a measure of the ability to drive and target whilst on the motorcycle/grav bike. They would have training or experience in using the kit required to balance a shot, either from a bike mounted weapon e.g. Grav speeder or held weapon.
I don't think I specifically detailed what you can and can't use for bike. I would follow the Specialist rules.
To be honest it was the reason I first went with "Cavalry" as a unit type, so I could represent units that might jump off the bikes. In the end it got merged with Specialist, mostly because they were so similar, however I failed to then discuss the unit type in the rules. I will have another think about making it a clearer option.
