Where are the critical spaces on a vehicle placed on the damage grid? We have examples but no rule that I can find .

25-30 Damage - Every 7 damage blocks. 20-25 Damage - Every 6 damage blocks. 16-20 Damage - Every 5 damage blocks. 13-16 Damage - Every 4 Damage blocks. 10-13 Damage - Every 3 Damage blocks.

So the number of Critical boxes bounces back and forth between three and four, or is it always three with the fourth possible spot being ignored?

Always three

Yep always three to match the systems. It was designed to be basic really - I wanted some detail on the damage track but I did not want to over-burden the game with complicated critical systems.

I can appreciate that. I used to play a lot of Silent Death...
I see the ranges overlap at the ends. Are they intended to, or can a 20 Damage model (for example) choose to have the critical spaces at either 5 or 6 space intervals?

No that was me typing stupidly earlier and in a rush.. They are not supposed to overlap. I will address it tomorrow and clear it up.
