I would classify it as medium. But it really depends on what other vehicles you have for force and where it fits in with the rest of them. If you were planning on adding a Sci-fi'd version of one of the other experimental tanks, and were using half-tracks as transports, I stick with my Medium recommendation. If it is your only tank, it may need to be Heavy.

Could be either Heavy or Medium! By dimensions, it could be medium, but it certainly looks chunky and weighty enough to be a heavy. Your choice I guess

So the general agreement is its a squat looking heavy.
Hmn. So heavy(?) Projectile weapon for the main gun and a light projectile weapon for the AP coaxial?
Trying to think of a perk.

I think heavy. Given that assault in my mind (based on available minis) is a model like the Dragama heavy from Critical Mass with the four tracks.
Have you look at the Peter Pig "Maus" tank - the experimental WWII German tank? It is massive and looks a bit like the one above. I have been thinking about buying a couple to use for a retro style force with a couple of modifications on turrets etc.
I probably need a negative perk for these types of massive retro vehicles like "Slow" which reduces points but reduces base speed by 2inches.

I think heavy. Given that assault in my mind (based on available minis) is a model like the Dragama heavy from Critical Mass with the four tracks. Huh. I'd have thought more in the line of the Khurasan Siler or the RAFM Grav Tank, both of which are frickin' huge. Never seen the Dragama in person but to me it always seemed more exotic than huge. Have you look at the Peter Pig "Maus" tank - the experimental WWII German tank? It is massive and looks a bit like the one above. I have been thinking about buying a couple to use for a retro style force with a couple of modifications on turrets etc. If you want a true "Assault Maus" I'd suggest the Pegasus hobbies 1/72 model. It will probably be cheaper than the peter pig and quite a bit larger since RL tanks even big ones tend to come out a bit small when built to scale. I probably need a negative perk for these types of massive retro vehicles like "Slow" which reduces points but reduces base speed by 2inches. How about "Ponderous". Reduced speed but increases armor? Honestly though I think there needs to be a classification for super-heavy vehicles. A mere assault doesn't match the over sized, ponderously excessive retro-glory that is the Akuyaku 1 Go or even a converted 1/72 scale Maus
