I am taking the approach that the vehicle weapon lists are more a table of effects rather than actual types of weapons. That being said, I have a couple of questions.
1) Mecha can fire all their weapons, with a -1 per shot after the first. Does this also apply to vehicles? My guess would be yes, since they are just a different type of vehicle. I do not necessarily agree with this though.
2) Scout/Light tanks can only take anti-infantry weapons and or Gruntz weapons. Does this mean that they can take an anti-infantry weapon as a "main weapon mount" and then their maximum anti infantry weapons as well? When vehicles defensive fire against Gruntz do the anti-infantry weapons taken as a "main weapon mount" fire against attacking Gruntz? My guess would be no. Only dedicated "anti-infantry weapons" fire against Gruntz.
3) If you take a second perk that has a negative value or a zero value do you have to pay 5 points for it? My guess would be no.
4) Would a perk that gives +1 to damage/AP/AE be worth 3 points?
5) Do most people max out their weapon slots? I am not a min/maxer myself. However, for tanks I can easily see maxing out main slots if one is trying to replicate possible effects on a battle field. For example, on a medium tank I might take as main weapons: med projectile cannon (to simulate an armor piercing round), medium gatling (to simulate a high explosive round) and maybe a medium flamer to replicate an anti-infantry canister round (I would rule that you could add the gravatonic accelerator to the flamer and allow you to place the start of the template 3" from the barrel of the weapon, to simulate a longer range and or timed release of the canister). Now, the problem with all this that if you allow all weapons to fire (with a -1 penalty to each after the first one, cumulative) it might be bit much. I am curious as to what people think of this approach.
6) If vehicles have two flamers and fire both on a turn, where does the -1 to shooting come into play? Templates do not use a shooting skill. My guess would be there would be a -1 to damage rolls, or something else. In fact, I see no rules for flamer templates anywhere in the rules.
