I got bored painting 6mm and I needed something new to get the mojo flowing. After rummaging through some boxes I found the metal Imperator I bought off Robin. It didn't occur to me to start a thread about it until after I had built and primed it. Ten ounces of white metal, double pinned at each main joint. Based and primed. First stage of painting. Rust effect painted on prior to sealing. This will then be over sprayed with the green base coat before being chipped to reveal the rust beneath.

Light olive base coat applied. Base coat chipped away to reveal the rust layer beneath.

I haven't given up on this, but the black lining is taking forever!
I can only spend a short period on this at any one time before eye strain or toddler interference happens....
About 80% done on the black lining.
