Hi All,
Literally just registered after discovering the gruntz rules/game online. I've watched most the Youtube videos & so far like what I'm seeing.
I'm a fan of 15mm (ideal for tabletop games) & there seems to be a growing number of manufactures making minis in support if this game.
My only real concern around the rules are there complexity/or not. I recently tried Infinity, which I really enjoyed at first. Then I got the full rulebook & got bogged down in trying to learn everything, ultimately stopping (collection on ebay soon, lol). I have M.E. which is a condition that amongst other things makes me exhausted when doing! (physical/mental/emotional) so a basic set of rules/mechanics would be ideal. Also space is at a premium at my current house & a 4x4 (at a squeeze 4x6) table is my limit.
So please reply with convincing arguments for/against getting into this. If I'm in, I promise to paint great looking minis!
Thanks in advance.
Mickey

Hi Mickey,
Gruntz is nice and easy to get into and plays really well. I've played games in different sizes and it scales up well. Lots of fun, after a little while, you don't have to refer to the rules very much. The cheat sheet is pretty much all you need.

hi mickey
Gruntz is a nice easy game mostly your comparing one stat number against another with a dice roll and modifiers.
The most difficult part I found when starting was the unit builders which can seem daunting, luckily there are 2 options to help there either the gruntomatic website (free to sign up) or the barracks application (inexpensive paid download) you can find on wargames vault.
Once you have the basics then start to introduce some of the more complex perks/ modz weapons etc with the options available you can make it as complicated or simple as you wish.
Hope you find it to your taste.

Thanks Guys for all your help & encouragement. I awoke just this morning thinking I should give Gruntz another try (having recently bought USEME). I'm sure once I've got my head around the basic mechanics of the game I'll be fine.
