Hey all,
I have been going through the rulebook and can't find anything on this so wanted to double check with you lovely people
Am I right in thinking (can't remember where I read this) that for a 'tank', it can fire 2 weapons per turn and a 'super heavy tank' can fire up to 4 weapons per turn?
My questions are as follows:
1, is that correct in the first instance?
2, do anti infantry weapon mounts not count towards this number? (i.e. can be fired in addition?)
3, if I am correct in number 2 does the -1 shoot penalty apply to them all? i.e. primary weapon fire, second primary -1, first anti ingantry -2, second anti infantry -4?
If this is written somewhere else I apologise but couldn't find it on a search
Thanks in advance!

and also...
"ack ack" states it negates the +2 guard for vehicles flying, is this in relation to moving at flank speed or do flyers get a base +2 guard when they are in the air?

Hi Carvo
Vehicle shooting is described on page 33 in the 1st full paragraph in summary without perks or modz that allow it a vehicle can only fire 2 weapons per shooting phase with the 2nd being at -1 (if allowed further weapons would have an incremental -1 per weapon)
Super heavies can fire upto 4 main weapons with the modifiers only starting on the 3rd weapon fired.
Not having used the ack ack mod yet I hadn't read up it does seem to suggest that aerial vehicles get +2 guard just for being in the air but I cant find anything in the main body of the rules, I would suggest they only get the +2 when moving at flank speed

apologies for extremely late reply - yeah I had read that, it just doesn't make massive amounts of sense to me, for instance I'm using flames of war oh-6 loachs for helis in my army, they are AAV-LIGHT-S4-1PRIMARY WEP-LIGHT GATLING which totals 15pts, being 1pt for 1 primary weapon and 2 pts for the gatling, but if i want to add a guy hanging out the door with a projectile FA, it costs me 2 pts for the anti-infantry slot and 4 pts for the FA!

Yes it is for Flank speed movement.

Ok then you can fire two main weapon systems per firing action with the second at -1. Can you then fire one weapon system twice? e.g. buy just a single medium vehicle projectile weapon for your tank, fire it once normally and again at -1 or are there an awful lot of double barrelled gruntz running around?
Thanks

Hi patg, the rule describes shooting more than one weapon I read it as only a commander and gruntz with the "let rip" perk can fire the same weapon twice vehicles cannot.
