Hey there, this is my first post. I have read through the Gruntz rules once and decided to give it a go. I wanted to use my old battletech mechs and other 6mm vehicles and infantry. I know that I could try to base gruntz individually on small coins or go for the optional group basing. Basing them together could mean that they are much more vulnerable to template weapons. The suggested measures for group bases in the rule book seems to be too big to look good in 6mm, but gruntz on smaller bases might be wiped out completely even by a 2" circular template. I wonder if somebody has figured out a solution for this. Should I maybe use smaller templates? (I will keep unit speed and weapon ranges like they were written for 15mm, I think it still fits to 6mm scale.) Thanks a lot, I would really like to start and paint stuff.

Hi skullhamma
Im not an expert but as an opener try changing all measurements into cm rather than inches this reduces the areas and distances by about half that way the little guys have a slightly better chance of not being completly wiped out in one go.

Skullhamma for 6mm Figures I would mount 2 Infantry on Small Washers to allow unis to Spread out. As for Area Effect Weapons I'd leave them Unchanged & Measure Unit Coherency from the base edges Which will Help with Over Kill. Other than Flamers & Gatling guns which I Personally Think should have to Roll to Hit every Target Under the Template, Most AE Weapons are at -5 Damage to targets that are not directly hit & even Grenades are at -3 Damage. The Infantry Should have a fair chance vs AE Weapons if they don't bunch up. I hope this helps out.
