I've been playing miniature war games on and off for the last 30 years. Located in Baltimore, Maryland home of the "The Wire". My current dislike of the direction of 40k and wanting to do smaller armies, I found Gruntz 15. I have to say after reading threw the rule I was impressed and actually excited about working on a new army. My biggest problem will be converting my gaming buddies or finding others already into 15mm. I'm getting ready to order some figs and trying my hand at a smaller scale.

Welcome to the scale. You can certainly make some impressive looking games as terrain is cheap to buy and/or easy to make en mass. Matt's suggestion to have two forces and teach your friends is a good one. Matt was my mentor with Gruntz! Coming from a 40k background, I'd recommend you have a look at Gunner's work on converting 15mm figs to 40k forces: gunnerswargamming.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/15mm%2040K

Hi wynnstudio Welcome, to get an idea of some forces have a look at dropshiphorizon.blogspot.com/They have a superb list of different types of forces broken down by human/ non-human and even non-biological and great links to lots of minis companies that might not immediately return on a google search. as well as looking at gunners blog have a look at blackwidowpilot.blogspot.com/ for great ideas on making and converting vehicles you just need to look through the post as he doesn't seem to use tags. Happy hunting

Jon's stuff doesn't take long to get over the pond and you will love painting them far quicker than 28s. With the colours just make everthing a little brighter than you would normally and they will pop Dont panic! you will quickly pick it up Oh and I can't wait to see them painted Tanks and support btw what you going for?

Good to hear they ships fast. I've been painting 28mm Iron Warriors for the last 6 months and need a change. I've always ben a treadhead so I suspect a lot of tanks. I'm going to start with a scratch/conversion from a Leclerc tank kit. It's on the larger end so I will be cutting some length off.

Hey, wynnstudio!
Welcome! We have a smallish group of gamers down in Montgomery County (Rockville-Olney areas) who play around with 15s (mostly Gruntz and Critical Mass, though we've recently also tried out 5 Parsecs from Home).
Let us know if you have any questions!
