Hi All newbie questions
In recent games we have come up against some situations that we can't find an answer to.
In a rapid dust off manoeuvre the squad disembarking are suppressed - to me this doesn't make sense as the manoeuvre the action by the disembarking team planned and trained for so why suppressed?
On a related note squads bailing out of destroyed vehicles/ buildings (on a 12+) are not suppressed, at least not I can't see anything that says they should be, is this right?
As both these situations came up in the same game it caused much book perusing as it seem the wrong way around.
Any advice or clarification would be great.

A) I figure the reasoning isn't so much that they are suppressed, but that the suppression token represents that they are in a vulnerable position for a period of time and not actively seeking cover while they disembark (since they're worried about getting out of the VTOL). I think it also works well game mechanics wise.
B) I don't believe they are suppressed, but they probably should get a token for that.
I personally have a house rule where ranges are unlimited (but each range band gives an additional negative modifier) and any time a unit gets shot at it takes a suppression test (with bonuses for being in cover)
Perhaps a mental test after bailing for suppression would be reasonable?

Thanks Harold
A) I see the point of the suppression marker now from that point
B) I think I'll house rule it that they get a suppression marker
