I now have the card creation process sorted on the Wargames Vault. I can start looking at putting together large sets of profiles for published miniatures like Khurasan / GZG etc etc. Is anyone interested in being part of this process?
I ask because it is a tall order to create stats for "everything" and no doubt there will be variants etc. I almost want to include variants in the deck like " GZG Hi-Mobility Phalanx Variant A", so it could be fielded with high energy laster or a mortar option.
Basically it will be a process of going through a massive spreadsheet of model names and tweaking stats to make things feel right for the different company ranges. It may annoy some people that think perhaps a particalur VTOL should be a Large hull rather than medium but I think some consensus could be reached to try and get a published set of profiles out.
It is really for the big group of gamers out there that don't want to spend time making up profiles and designs of their own and would prefer just to pick from a deck, order the models and play.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,

Great idea.
I think the best way to start is to find "Standards" for each type of unit. Basically choose a model for each type of unit and say "This is a medium VTOL with such and such, anything bigger will have more stats, anything smaller, less stats"
OR... maybe have some standard "Generic" units made, where they aren't specific but you can say "This is a normal infantry grunt, like an American Soldier but sci-fi" or "This is a main battle tank".
I think a baseline would make the process easier.

Excellent idea! I had not thought much about standard types like "Wheeled Main Battletank". Probably worth having at least 60ish cards with standard types like "Human Infantry Medic".

Thanks! And yeah, a basic selection of units would not only be very useful by themselves to build armies, but also when building our own cards for reference.

Maybe we could even make it group effort, with your final approval?

Would these be an electronic card to download and print OR a physical card that you can purchase ?
Will this be available for models other than the usual suspects associated with Gruntz 15mm e.g. GZG, CMG, Old crow etc (as pe the cover) ?
What I like about the Barracks program is the ability to produce custom cards for other miniatures,
cheers

Initially just a set of cards. I may include the PDF but I have to way that up against the cost and time/effort of getting cards laid out and designed. Initially probably just card based and then later also a PDF bundle. It may sound relatively easy to knock out a set but it takes many days and weeks of work. At the current rate of sale on the new Initiative cards I will have probably paid off the cost of art and time in about 6 Months.

Yes work is in progress. I am just working with Artcrime on their kickstarter, which will be the first release of some cards. GZG have also been talking to me this last Month. I just have so much on currently but expect something through summer and earlier than that will be the Artcrime stat cards.
