Details to come!
Here are some of the base rules for All 15mm W.G.S.I. events: - All unit cards must be developed in Barracks, or in Grunt-o-Matic - Armies MUST be painted to be fielded, no naked-silvers, no base coats, and must have painted/flocked base. - For excitement and skill, "Alternating Activation" gaming will be the choice of turn play. EXAMPLE OF PLAY IS IN THE ERRATA- Perkz and Modz may be renamed. Weapons however may be renamed. HOWEVER if questioned on what the renamed rule is, you must be able to provide the name of the ability as listed in the book for reference. - Renamed Weapons must be labeled with the following, after the name of the weapon: Projectile [M] Missile/Rocket [E] Energy/Plasma [F] Flamer type weapon
Examples: Widowmaker Sniper Rifle Hyburian Swarm Pod [M] IMPORTANT NOTE: This DOES mean you can turn a "Plasma Gun" into a Projectile weapon. This is the only legal way we allow weapon stats or modifiers to be altered from their original printing, or Planetfall Errata clarification. - Unit Cards must be created prior to the event. - Please bring your own tape measure, dice, and templates, a free PDF of the templates may be downloaded here: www.wargamevault.com/product/98254/Gruntz-Free-Templates?src=s_pi(It will ask you to 'buy' the pdf, but the cost will be $0.00) - There will be a zero tolerance policy on knowledgeable cheating, we understand that mistakes happen, but knowingly breaking the rules will result in dismissal and disqualification from the event and possibly future events. Knowledgeable Cheating can include (but is not limited to): - Loaded Dice - Changing the nature of an ability on a card - Measuring movement on opposing sides of the base To register, please post in the thread below. You must be registered to be eligible for any swag, prizes, giveaways, and to secure a place in the campaign.
It would also be helpful to message any of us three (Papabees, Merc, Myself) your first name and last initial so we can be sure to place you correctly in the campaign.
If you have any questions, feel free to message any of us three, here on the forums.

Coming later today: New Gruntz Format
I'm pushing back the eratta by a day or so because of a few things that came up in last night's game that need to be considered.

So far we've had zero cheating incidents so far under 15mm WGSI formats, but better safe than sorry.
The vehicle thing is what we are currently looking into and holding things up. In the meantime, check out Gruntz 15mm: MAG Format!

This is a really great errata... thanks for posting it!
I have a couple of questions:
1) How do you guys handle routing (code brown) units? Do they automatically reform at the end of the turn? What if they reach the board edge? 2) Auto-Heal Skill, how do you handle if the squad is wiped out? 3) Do yuo guys require commanders? Cinematic or non-cinematic?

Quick answers:
1- If in con-brown, must run towards starting table edge. Must pass a mental check or continue running at the start of next activation. Takes 1 action to remove Con-Brown,and one to remove the Suppressed status.
2- Waxed models are placed on their side until the end of the turn. If a medic can reach them, before the end of turn, it can try to heal them. If they have auto-heal, they can roll for it the next time they would activate. So if it's turn 2 and you have 2 units with auto-heal (call them A and B), and A has not activated but is wiped out, they when activated, they can roll their 5+ attempt. B is wiped out after their activation and will have to wait until next turn to activate to attempt to roll their 5+ attempt.
3- Commanders are required and must have a "Commander" stat card.

Makes sense to me One more quick one to sow confusion. for #2, if the entire unit is wiped out, who makes the mental check for suppression/condition brown (since they would do that before the auto-heal kicks in). Because of this ambiguity i've usually done it where you need at least one surviving squad member to activate auto-heal. Same with medics.

Assuming the events of the game are happening simultaneously a medic could reach the squad just after they were all shot, even if it's an activation or two later, but if the medic can't make it by the end of the turn... they're dead Jim. But a medic wouldn't be like "Oh none of them left, moving on", quite the opposite. They would be trying to save the lives of as many of those fallen as they could. Pop the Lifer Juice, and start heal-rolling! Auto-Heal is a bit different. The point of the rule is the models can automatically heal, so if all the members of the unit are waxed, the unit could still potentially spring back up. We view the action required to activate the ability is more of a time delay, than a model pressing a button to jump start everyone. That action represents the flesh knitting back together/nanites reconstructing/and the unit snapping back into awareness. The second action is a conscious decision on the unit's part; be it moving shooting, going prone, assaulting (if they have Swarm) etc. _ _ _ _ On the topic of Medics, just for kicks try one of these unusual Medic builds for fun next game:

Hi,
I'm a gruntz player in Portage, IN. I game with nebelwerfer41 (posted above) and a few other local guys. I'm planning on being at the event, and will have my army ready to go.
I recall seeing or hearing that the game day was July 19, but now I can't find that information on the page. Can someone confirm (I'm not on facebook).
