If you build a small robot, perhaps with a weapon and a close up assault weapon there is a small issue in that they don't have a Mental stat to test during an assault. If they lose a round of an assault they can't check for the winning/losing.
I am proposing an adjustment for the next release which is that they test at x2 their skill. So a 4 skill unit will need to roll under 8. Given that they are a robotic asset I think it is unlikely that they will feel overwhelmed enough to leave an assault engagement, so for those models with skill 5 or 6 (fail on double 6) they will stand a very good chances of staying in the assault toe-2-toe.
So in the unlikely event they fail the Mental check after losing more damage points during an assault it will simply represent them being pushed back and overwhelmed by the attack rather than it being a failure of moral.
Any thoughts about Assault in general?
