Has anyone tinkered with playing Gruntz in 6mm scale? What rules alterations did you use or would you recommend?

I did it. Just changed measurements from inches to centimeters and use a 2x3 board. Seemed to work well.

Did you use group basing or make any other adjustments? We were thinking about saying each stand is an entire unit on group bases, otherwise we didn't know if anything else should get altered.

Individually based actually. It's not as hard to differentiate the figures as you may think. The rules have a section on group basing I think. You should be able to use them to set things up.

I put 5/6 6mm troops per base on round disc bases. It makes it easier for movement, however single basing could work.

I have individually based a bunch of 6mm guys for trying this but haven't had a chance to paint them yet.

Here's a thought for you. 4x4 feet board, ground movement in centimeters, airial movement in inches = Dropzone Gruntz :-))
I'll be trying this just as soon as I get my choppers painted.
