Hello Everyone!
Well maybe not everyone, that little grey guy in the back with the cape looks kind of suspicious to me. Have to watch those little Grey Imperialists! One kidnapped my great grandfather from a trailerpark back on old earth, Gramps' was never the same again.
I'm Gopher! And you can all bet your favorite laser rifle I'm glad to be here. Buddy and I just discovered Gruntz and were loading up on miniatures so we can get down to our first game. I have several projects in mind for Armies at the moment, and my attention deficit disorder guarantees there not the last ideas for Armies I have. Currently I'm working on some Imperial Japanese Forces. Not 100% sure what space Japanese are going to mean. They defiantly are going to be Imperial meaning a militarily aggressive force but I haven't decided if they are going to be ultra nationalistic or Clan based like...in... the...um....
(Eyes the Grey Imperialist in the back)
...Like back in history. I'm defiantly looking to WWII for inspiration. And I'm currently thinking of drawing upon the colors and camo patterns of that period to help establish the look and feel of the army. However I want them to be a modern force with solid equipment and a good deal of tech like robots, mecha, and so forth. However I'm thinking of also using some of Flames of War's new Vietnam VC and NVA as "lesser" Asian forces. You can read that as cannon fodder. After all why risk a Japanese life when you can use sub-humans as meat shields? Black pajamed VC would make great Mimic troops, pretending to be farmers until they open fire on you! I also....umm...
(Scowls at the Grey Imperialist) I got my good eye on you shorty...
I'm also thinking of using a few Heavy Gear from Dream Pod 9 as super power armor, but not full sized mechs. Anyway like all things its a work in progress and I hope to have some pictures for you all very soon! I'll be needing a good deal of help and suggestions as well as anyone willing to share 15mm miniature sources. I think the hardest part....
(Draws a Plasma pistol and blasts the Imperialist leaving only two grey legs and a bit of red cape behind) Got you, you little grandpa snatching thief!
Ah well, you'll see I have work to do. You guys need to fumigate this place and make sure there aren't anymore of these little grey guys running around. Be seeing you all soon!
