Hi,
The "Over the Top" perk specifies that the unit gains +1 Guard when making a double move - but it seems applicable to assault moves as well (or even more). Was the intent for it to apply to assault moves as well, or would this be too much?

I'd buy that.
Or, if not all assault moves then certainly for "move then assault" caused by push moves or the Swarm perk.

Not sure if it should provide +1 guard when the unit arrives in base to base contact. But for the run there, with potential reaction fire and the like I would say it makes perfect sense. Rules questions aside these are the things I like about gruntz, just thinking about this perk inspires ideas of a futuristic trench warfare and a unit of commandos specialized in CC and "Going over the top" They should probably be wearing gas masks for bonus coolness. ;D

It comes down to if the movement for charging is considered a "Double move", or just a movement at double range.
We need to summon Robin to clear this up!

Certainly yes they should gain the bonus whilst charging in. I had thought of it as a perk that an unarmed unit might take to give them a bit of an edge, just probably needs some better definition to describe. However I agree they should get it when assault moving but not when base-2-base.

Thanks for the replies! I'm actually transitioning from FUBAR to Gruntz to give my son and I more options for his 40k troops, and I was considering using this (and Combat Drugs) to make the Ork Horde a bit more survivable as his Crimson Fists mow them down!
