Firstly I apologise for any waffling that may occur but please try to bare with me.
I have a small but growing amount of Critical mass games figures already based up. Having now read Gruntz rules from cover to cover i have a little problem.
All the gruntz games i have seen on you tube and various other places the figures are are all based singley, now this is not a real problem as their are alternatives at the rear of the rules for multiple figure bases with a couple of tweeks for LOS and the like. So I have come up with my own little alternative basing system.
Now when you look at a standard squad card there are 4 tracks of 6 so technically you could use one card to represent 4 squads, this will come in handy.
Standard Squad -CM Base with 4/5 standard inf
Squad with Sqd Attacments - CM base 3 standard inf and 1/2 Sqd attachment weapons( RPG's, Heavier Rifles etc).
PDF card cross out all boxes not required. When sqd takes damage roll 1d6 as per rules if a 1 then simple cross of 1 box and cross of sqd attachment.
Commander - CM base 3 figures this represents Commander plus aids, When marking of damage on pdf this represents damage to commander and effectiveness of his aids.
Medic - CM base 3 figs to base represents senior medic plus juniors( you could mark this squad out by painting shoulder pads in a more distinctive colour) Still needs to be within range to heal squad.
I have not gone through all the troop types at the moment jsut wanted to hear from you and see if you think it would work like this.
Once again i appologize for waffling
