Hi all, I initially made this thinking the scale would be ok for 15mm, but after it was fabricated, i found it was a tad large, so i tried it with some 20mm guys and it felt a bit better. Then i picked up gruntz15mm, and thought 'oh hell... back to 15mm' so I am thinking of reverting to 15mm for future work... Anyway, am contemplating redoing this walker in 15mm. It stands about 5 inches high now including cannon, and i think it would look best maybe a quarter to a third smaller... figures in the picture are 20mm plastics. Attachments:

It's looks good to me maybe a bit tall but try it with some 15mm and see how it looks to you Was it scratch build or a kit bash? Cheers Matt

I did try it with some 15mm stuff i had.. it towered over everything. I mean it was passable, but just not quite what i had in mind.
It is a scratch-build, but i tried casting the parts as i want a whole platoon of these with different weapon options- with mixed success. Am pretty new to the molding/casting thing so tons of air bubbles/fudged details etc.

Well if you can cast them try shortening the legs a bit as see how they turn out The body size looks fine so give it a go with one of them even if it ends up a scrapper you can always turn into a damaged one for an objective Also what are you casting them with ie metal / resin ? Cheers Matt

yea, might try that, or maybe just leave it and move on to another model and do it right from the ground up Am using resin to cast them. Supplies are a bit hard to come by here, so i use what i can find. I imagine metal would be better at smaller sizes? Don't have the slightest clue where i would source that though.

I'd make the legs more "Chicken walker", with a more pronounced bend in the knee, to make the mech a tad shorter. That'll fix everything!

Yea that's a good shout kealios that would bring the mech down by about a quater to a third if you are lucky and no additional cutting nice one

Looks good. I think it could be short and perhaps have some bulk around a power plant to give it stronger look. I like the MAD style hull though.
