I finally finished my 4 25cm square tiles of shantytown. I was inspired by the thread on FrothersUnite.com. Making the same thing in 15mm took significantly more cutting of doors, walls and windows, but I think the results are pretty good. The second storeys are removable to allow for easy stacking of the boards and for using the tops as separate buildings on other tiles or layouts as required. Here are a few pictures: The whole thing A detail There's more pictures of it if you're interested.

Those look brilliant. I am desperate to get some GZG model buildings painted in a similar "frontier" style.

The roofs are made of one-sided corrugated cardboard. You should be able to purchase some at any art supply store. The concrete walls are balsa and the other walls are mattboard (also from the art supply store).

I ran into Iron Clad Miniatures at Crisis in Antwerp yesterday and discovered some shanty 15 mm in their store. There are 4 different small buildings, I couldn't find them yet in their online store so you probably have to ask if you want more detail. www.ironcladminiatures.co.uk/shop/page/1?shop_param=
