This has already been shared in various places. It is the lengthy 2hour part2 of the video guide. Basically me rambling about the game.
To be honest I don't expect people to watch the whole thing. However if I ever get a particular question I can always link folk back to the appropriate section in the video so they can read about a rule or game mechanic.
I am going to continue these videos, perhaps making them shorter and focused on a particular game strategy and mechanic. For the next one I was going to show a hi-mobility force, making use of APC's and VTOL's to get models into action. Rather than every blow-by-blow roll I will reduce it to focus on a couple of key stages.

I suggest some editing to focus on the game. Take out the "This figure is from xxx" and focus on game mechanics.
The figure overview can be in a different video - I like that too, but each video should be focused on 1 thing - the game, or the terrain, or the figures, or painting, etc. But just 1 at a time.
Maybe some on screen graphics? I don't know what your level of video editing skill is, but it's not that hard, if you can use Photoshop, you can do that. It does, however, take more time. More editing, adding graphics to clarify points, etc - that makes the video much better, but I know from experience, adds a lot more time to the overall production.
I love your videos, I've learned a lot from them (I had no idea a wet palette exited until I saw you use it) and I think many of them can and should continue as you currently make them, conversational style, minimal editing, etc. But your Gruntz instructional videos should be a at a higher standard, and the painting instructional videos you are proposing elsewhere should be, too.
I think if you raise the bar of those 2 video types a little bit, in the ways I mentioned, you could really help new and existing Gruntz players, sell more Gruntz, and also make a definitive series on mini painting.

Robin, In the video when the Queen was assaulted she made a mental check to see if she could acid spit, failed, then she made a mental check to see if she could assault out of turn sequence. Is that correct? I thought it was one or the other?

papabees. I was actually playing on the basis that if you don't make the React Fire, you can still attempt to get a React Assault. So even if you fail to React fire you can still attempt a React Assault. However if you succeed and a React Fire, you can't then also react assault. But probably by the end I was tired and may have tried to actually acid spit, making a 2d6 attack but missing. So perhaps I cheated!

Thanks for the feedback. On the topic of video editing, I used to complete extensive edits using Final Cut Pro, overlaying graphics etc. Have a look at this Gruntz shoot video. I added some overlays to describe the action. I think in all honesty I have got lazy or perhaps not lazy, just more economic with my time. It took probably 5/6 hours to complete the video. Then about 3 hours of editing just to slice the bigger chunks and big mistakes out (there were loads of mistakes and repeats needed). So in the end I just dump the video up and keep it simple. I now take the same approach to painting guides. I used to be very economical with time, focusing on a 10minute max length. I would voice-over after the painting, so as not to interrupt the painting and to keep the voice over specific to the action. I think most people did not even notice that I was doing a voice over rather than speaking as I worked. But these took many hours to edit in and complete in post production and I don't think I got any benefit from it. I think for myself I now have a good reference library for Gruntz. If I get a question I can link to a moment in the video or share the full thing for those with enough time to have it playing on a laptop in the background whilst painting etc. I do want to do more shorter ones now, perhaps even mini 5minute sections rather than the long ramble on various topics but I think I will be aiming to be more rough and ready, less time in post production and more time showing and talking about the subject. You never know though, I may suddenly have a desire to try harder do more interesting stuff like laser fire etc. Back in 2009 I was trying things like smoke and steam over-lays and had a similar idea for Gruntz shooting but it just took to long, even for simple results like this one:

I totally understand. Post-production can be a huge time sink, and at some point the benefit to time ratio takes a bad turn.

I had another look at the Shooting video. It was a while ago when I watched it.
That was well done! That's exactly what I was talking about, well edited and to the point. The graphics added a lot.

Dude. I just found out there are 2 Gruntz Shooting videos on youtube. I watched the shorter one just now. I like the stats graphics in the corners ("Shoot 5")
Both are great. The longer one talks about movement and covers vehicles more.
Anyway, the vids you already have are good. I think maybe you should combine them into a "learn to play gruntz" channel.
I'm a bit out of it on this Friday night, but I'm excited about these vids, and Gruntz. I'll try to post a more "reasonable" post tomorrow.
