Cool, shame the tech isn't there to have them self supporting, but something to Sky+ for when SWMBO is out.

At first glance it looks really lame. I can see that robot coming out on stage and it looks like it was on trolly?! Probably worth a second look but I prefer the more nerdy British robot wars series...

Actually if it's going to be hour long shows for one 3 minute fight everytime I could find it rather tedious.

just watched it and thought it was fantastic. the production vaules where great the bots look awesome, save for the hydraulic support (but hey limitations of current tech). really like the control set up. i really hope they go more into how the robos were made.
if in 10 years we get to a stage of self supporting robos i can see more shows like this one

Yes, there is a bit of cheese element to it. But lets be frank: Fighting Humanoid Robots.
Yes there is a bit of silliness to it, yes they're going to ham it up a bit. But watching a robot punch another in a critical location and seeing hydrolic fluid spray like a burst artery from along it's spinal support structure? Sold me.
I do like the mech designs too, not a big fan of Crash, but A.X.E. is pretty unique looking, and I think Brimstone looks like a dumbed down Atlas. Also really like Commander.
