I am trying out a modification which will allow the crew & passengers of air vehicles a chance to survive when the Air craft is destroyed and does not suffer catastrophic Damage. Bailing out of Air Vehicles Rules.
1) Allow Fighter crews & AAV Crews a chance of safely ejecting from the craft on a 12+. The Crew are Placed 1d6 inches in a random direction from the original vehicle Location. They are suppressed & must use their other action to exit the escape pod on their next activation. 2) Other Airborne VTOL crew & passengers a chance to jump clear on a 14+ & loosing 1 complete activation (Turn) in addition to being suppressed on the following activation (Turn).
In both cases when an aircraft is destroyed and does not suffer catastrophic Damage it will crash into the ground causing a Catastrophic explosion as on page 35 of the rule book. The Location of the Crash is determined by rolling a D6 See Bellow (A-1). The Air craft continues its move another D6 +3 inches before crashing. A-1 Determining Crash Location D6 Results 1 the Air Craft veers 15 degrees right as it continues its move 2 the Air Craft veers 30 degrees right as it continues its move 3 or 4 strait ahead and continues its move 5 the Air Craft veers 15 degrees left as it continues its move 6 the Air Craft veers 30 degrees left as it continues its move
