I was wondering why super heavy tanks are limited by size class for weapons as I understand the class the smallest super heavy tank is larger than the largest regular tank. So why is it limited to weapon size by class. this makes no since to me. I'm hoping it is a Typo.

I too have wondered about this. Would a Super Heavy weapon class for each level of SH vehicle resolve this? Maybe each SH weapon takes up two weapon mounts that way you could have more non SH weapons and fewer SH weapons if you so choose.
In the same vein, would like to see artillery as a valid option for SH vehicles.

Had to keep it simple. I toyed with the idea of making the lowest grade super-heavy able to take everything above the heavy but it felt like a cop out just making them the ultimate all-weapon platform.
Some players were interested in that idea of a stack of additional weapon classes for Super Heavy it was looking like an over-kill unit. So for now they follow a structure on the design with some limitations like heavy. So sorry it is not a typo.
However given Gruntz is designed to be flexible you could easily house rule it to make some super heavies bristling with the higher class/size of weapons. There is nothing to stop people experimenting.
I had originally thought of some plans to provide multiple locations on the super heavies, so damage would be taken off the front/rear/side armour but it felt like playing too much with the basic damage track.
There is certainly scope to keep evolving though and if super heavies become an important part of the game we could build some advanced rules to pull back into the main set after playtest etc.

Thanks for the the reply. Quite understandable to avoid overkill. As I have toyed with creating Super Heavy weapons I can see them becoming the Dim Mak (who didn't love watching Bloodsport as a kid?) of weapons. I just have to stop finding bigger and bigger models I want to use in Gruntz Now worries... as I get games under my belt I'll see how some bigger weapons can be pointed out and not tip the balance

I have a couple of the Star Wars Transformable AT-TE's, which I keep in the AT-TE form, and it is very close to 15mm in scale. I have created Gruntz stats for it, but had to modify it as I figure it would be considered a Super Heavy GSV, but there is no table for SHGSV's, and the GSV tables only have anti-infantry weapons available. So what I did is used the SHASV tables and modified speeds to accommodate a walker. I considered the AT-TE to be a Medium class SuperGSV, with 6 transport slots to carry 2 AT-RT's for 4 pts and 2 sqds of infantry (20 soldiers) for the other 2 pts.. The Main Weapon which is a Rail Cannon on top I used the Veh Med Plasma. The AT-TE has 6 of the smaller guns; four in front and two in rear. So each set of two fires linked. Therefore, 3 sets of Veh Light Lasers as they have the full auto ability which makes up for two guns firing linked. As a walker it costs 0 pts, and the pilot is Seasoned. All of that, in addtion to having Uber Armour and Neutonic Damping for another 6 pts brings the total to about 109 pts. All I do on the card once I print it is white out the Helicopter Speed of 8 for a Medium SHASV and replace with a 3, which is equivalent to a Medium SH tank for Walker speed. It would be nice to see tables for the Super Heavy GSV, as there is one for tanks and ASV's. It would not be hard to modify for that vehicle type as you could actually use the SH Tank and add transport slots to it, or the SH ASV and change the aerial speeds for ground vehicle speeds.
