I'm trying to pick a range for my ARM infantry, and it's a toss up between ARC troopers and NI. Which one do you prefer? Is there a side-by-side comparison anywhere? From my own observation, ARCs look a little more defined.

Looks like I can get a platoon of ARC Recons for much less than a starter set of NI. I do like how detailed the ARC minis are - I just might pick them up if I don't get swayed by another manufacturer.

Don't do like I did. I thought I found what I wanted then kept searching; found even more stuff. Sorta like that feeling you get standing in front of all the movies at the video store.
I really like the ARC troops and want some soon. Squinch

Heh, no doubt! I like the NI, but I'd rather have more detailed figures. I've narrowed it down to these few:
-CMG ARC Recons Troopers -GZG UNSC Light Infantry -Khurasan Minis Terran Feds -Rebel Minis Earth Force
They all have that visor-helmet appearance I'm fond of, and have lighter armor - rather than plates all over like the NI, these have a mix of armor and BDUs. Sort of a near-future look. I'm either sticking with ARM or making a mercenary contract/private security force.

I LOVE the GZG UNSC troops. They're just superb, IMO.

I do like them, though for whatever reason buying sets of ACP minis appears to be much more expensive than my other options. (ex. $70 for a Nationalist starter compared to approx. $22 for a whole ARC Recon platoon) However, I'd love to get my hands on those Valkyries. Small mecha alternatives include GZG's Cyclops Battlesuits, which would be around $13 for four, compared to 3 Valkyries or 2 Heavy Gear mechs, which'd set me back $20+.

One other thing to consider is that Khurasen is on this side of the pond and their minis are fantastic.

I like the retro look of the Earth Force. Seems like they're wearing gear to protect themselves against the environment as much as gunfire! Could be nice for a private military/security detail of CMA, or other mining corp. 21 minis for $11 isn't bad, either.
I still don't know exactly what theme I want; it'll probably depend on some collaboration with a buddy of mine who also wants to start.

If you are in the USA, Rebel Minis is $6 flat rate shipping - buy 1 mini or 100, it's $6. Also, they are having a 20% off sale until April 30th - Coupon Code: Rebspring Full face helmets are easier to plaint than naked faces.
