Vehicle weapon choice is now limited based on vehicle size. Additionally artillery weapons are only selectable on artillery vehicles. So now a scout vehicle can only select SA or Specialist weapons, and an assault vehicle can select everything from SA up to Assault class.
Any pre-existing cards with incorrectly large weapons mounted won't be affected.

Just wondering if the Gruntomatic will be updated to 1.1? ertainly would be useful in encouraging my newer players to build their own unit cards

The Grunt'o'matic is updated to version 1.1 of the rules. Most of the 1.0 cards have been migrated automatically but I did manage to lose some of the newer ones thanks to a brain-freeze Any errors spotted, please let me know. Thanks.

Excellent stuff. Thanks quozl! There is a point difference in one of my tanks between the Barracks and Grunt'o'matic. Don't know why.

Thanks baldlea, that's exactly the sort of thing I want reports about I'll try and have a look into it over lunch.

Baldlea, I think the gruntomatic is correct on that one.
Barracks has grav mobility for tanks as costing 3 points but the pdf gives it as 4 points on page 55.
That explains the discrepancy, I think.

There is also sometimes a minor difference in points values between gruntomatic and barracks for non-standard sized gruntz squads.
The gruntomatic calculates the cost for 6, including rounding up to the nearest point, before extrapolating to the full squad size. I did that by design as the PDF says to
I think that Barracks doesn't do the rounding up before doing the ' divide the total by 6 then multiply the total by the number of models in the squad'.
Which is quite likely correct of Barracks - it makes more sense IMO and the rounding up may be a hang-over from 1.0 of the rules and not intended to be done when creating different size squads but I stuck to the rules as written while developing it. I can change it if the Barracks calculation gets clarified as correct.

Yep, Barracks works on the unrounded value for squad sizes, then rounds as the final step. Whether that's what Robin wants as official is another matter...

It makes more sense to me to be honest. If Robin doesn't notice this and disagree then I'll just change gruntomatic to match Barracks. Insurrection

Ok, nudging this because it is awesome. Just built a 424 point force for tomorrow's game and it was sooo easy to build the experimental force I wanted...

I'm going to have to re-download Barraks, last time I built an army in GOM, it was 248, this last time, same army, same things but on Barraks: 307. I'll try this again when I have some down time.

If you can PM me a link to the force on the GOM, Runecaster_Aris, I can run through the same items in the Barracks and try and see why there's a difference.

Here's a 424pt force for our game tomorrow: Dropbox LinkI think there was a small point difference when this same force was created in Barracks. If this helps track down any gremlins, cool. Meanwhile, if both players are using the same builder, it makes little difference.
